Height and scale of the building is very apparent now
since the gable end has been built.
Sheathing installation on the exterior walls has suspended until
construction lighting
is installed inside. Until then, they need the light through the walls to
see well. Interior wall
construction is complete and all of the rooms now have their shape. Take a
"tour" below
through the maze of a steel forest. The interior should now be ready for
electricians to begin working.
In the renovation area, exterior walls are being studded to provide for
insulation and a smooth
drywall surface.
The gable end on the western exposure has been build, giving real shape to
the building.

The view from the parking lot gives a real good impression of the final
shape of the addition.

From the alley, you see how the old and new areas are being "mated
up" with
a single roof.

You can see in both of these photos of the south wall how large the attic
area will
be for storage.

1. Looking east from the new narthex toward the
existing Sunday School wing.
The doors at the end are the existing doors that were the entry to that
part of the
building. At the left edge of the photo is the old Pastor's Study. The
walls now
have studs to receive a drywall finish over the brick.

The arrows indicate the different views of the photos - numbered in
ordered of listing.
2. Below is a view from the
Narthex looking south into the hallway to the nursery.
The areas to the left and right of the hallway are classrooms.
3. Continue your way into the
hallway and turn to the left (east) to see this view below,
which is the hallway through the center of the classrooms to the existing
classroom area.

4. Continue to the east through the hallway and turn
around looking back where
you came from. This will also be your view as come through the doors in
the
middle of the existing classroom area into the addition.

5. This is a view from the southeast corner of the
new addition, in a classroom.
On the other side of the wall across the photo is the new nursery.

In the existing Sunday School area, wall sandwiches are being made.
Steel studs are being installed to receive a new drywall finish on both
sides since the outside is now inside the addition. The children's
handprints are about to become really permanent, though not seen.
