The drywall in several rooms is complete and ready for the
drywall finishing compound (mud). It is the primary work being done right
now, although some ventilation and electrical work continues.

This is the classroom on the Southside of the addition, as shown by the
green arrow below.
Below is the classroom in the middle of the addition, as
shown by the blue arrow above. The green drywall is "greenboard",
which is used in wet areas as it is more water-resistant than normal
drywall.

the classroom faces the west in the new addition - see the blue arrow
below.
The pipes and ventilation ducts will be concealed above a drop-style
ceiling.
A water heater will be installed in the closet in the left corner.
This was a change after the drawings were completed, so it isn't shown in
the plans excerpt below.
Leaving the Narthex to enter the Sunday School wing will
take you through this hallway. The doorway at the end enters the nursery.
The orange arrow above shows this view.

The narthex is also nearly complete with drywall.

The doorway from the Narthex to the stairs to the basement has been
installed. You can see where this doorway is with the red arrow in the
drawing.

The new hall between old and new Sunday School areas is shaping up well,
too. You can see from the yellow stripe on the walls above that it used to
be part of a classroom. Electrical panel boxes are installed on the right
side of the hallway on the new half of the hallway.

The doorway going from the hall behind the sanctuary into the narthex has
been framed as well.

This is in the new Ladies Room. These will be a row of sinks.

Two of the old classrooms are receiving new drywall, as well. The sections
of walls that are exposed to the outside, or attic access stairway have
been thickened with studs to add insulation and a drywall finish.

The old pastors study has new drywall, as well. In the past, old windows
have always become bookshelves.
However, it is necessary to completely drywall two walls here in order to
provide the fire division between the existing building and the addition.
The drywall is installed to provide a 1-hour fire rating. The bulkhead at
the ceiling conceals a roof drain and the heating duct.

This is the old doorway by the pastor's study. The doors have been moved
to the new entry to the narthex. You can see the amount that the new floor
had to be built up to be on the same level as the existing Sunday School
area and the sanctuary.
