Because of the rain, not much
has been accomplished in the last few days. Roofing materials have arrived
for the flat roof, as you can see below, but can't be installed until the
rain stops.

The trim at the new entry receives a good coat of paint. Even the trim
detail on the roof is complete.

The water line has been connected to the water main. The contractor is
finishing up after re-burying it.
Be careful walking here - more concrete has been removed from the
sidewalk.

The new main power distribution panel has been installed and it ready to
receive the power
supply from the poles in the alley. It is located behind the stage in the
basement.
SBC finally showed up to moved their cables of the utility pole that is
being removed. Because of how the connections had to be moved, about 4
houses also had to have new lines installed.
The doorway that connects from the right-front area of the
sanctuary into the new narthex was open, so here's a virtual walk-through
going through the door to the right of the pulpit, through the new door
and into the narthex.

Paint has made its first appearance inside. The doorframes received an initial
coat of oil-based paint.
The flat roof between the front of the sanctuary and the new sloped roof,
over the old Sunday School area, receives a new layer of insulation
covered by a new rubber membrane roof surface.
This is the area where the new flat roof of the narthex meets the existing
roof by the winding stairs entry. Workers were working to get this
difficult area fit together. 3 roofing surfaces meet together, an old flat
roof, a new flat roof and the sloped roof of the sanctuary.
The heating and cooling equipment is being installed in the attic over the
addition and the attic over the old Sunday School wing.
