Dresses for Ethiopia

In the Fall and early Winter of 2010, members and friends of Garfield Park UCC made dresses for orphan girls in Ethiopia. To make them more easily, they were made from pillow cases. Pillow cases offer a nice variety of colors and prints and are easily cut and made into simple dresses with just a little sewing.

They were taken to Ethiopia and distributed to the children recently. Here's some photos from the village and some of the girls that received them. Some shirts and other essentials were also sent along.
